Marquee Rents, purchased by Damon Holditch, CSEP, CERP and his wife Becky in 1985, began as a small United Rental store supplying contractor equipment. Renamed Austin RentAll, we provided party and wedding rentals in addition to the contractor equipment. Through the late 1980’s and 1990’s we grew with the booming event industry. We continued to expand our inventory, acquiring items at the forefront of event industry trends. Our original location was a busy storefront, and before long getting in and out of the parking lot became difficult for both the large volume of customers visiting the store and our growing fleet of trucks. In 1999 we moved to a new location, and concentrating solely on party rentals, renamed the company Austin RentAll Party.
With this new space, we doubled our warehouse space, added offices and designated a showroom. We expanded our sales team to include both outside sales professionals that work with Marquee Tents to provide complete service from site-visit through execution, and an inside sales team in-house that can answer questions and walk clients through our products. We invite you to come in to our progressive design center to play and create. It features full-sized samples of our linens, tables to be dressed, and place settings so that you and your client can get the full-effect of your design. Feel free to bring in centerpieces and accessories and photograph the complete mock table.
Between 2000 and 2006, as we began to do more sophisticated events, we phased out most of our traditional wedding rentals. Weddings still comprise a small part of our business and are often the most spectacular events, with clients that have the most particular taste. We can custom make linens in house to perfectly match any color scheme. We have also designed table configurations to fit individual spaces. Our sales staff can create a computer assisted drawing (CAD) for complex events to detail how the rentals will be used.
In 2006 when we changed our name to Marquee Rents and became one of the divisions of the new parent company Marquee Event Group. Today, Marquee Event Group is composed of 3 departments - Marquee Rents, Marquee Tents and Marquee Linens. We are established in the Austin area and have a strong base of nonprofit, corporate, and industry clients that contribute to our success in reinventing the rental industry.
