The Special Events prestigious award is awarded each year in categories like Best Fundraising Event, Best Wedding and Best Achievement in Logistics. The black-tie awards ceremony held last week in Tampa, Florida capped off the annual conference of seminars and events showcasing trends in fashion, food and technology for the Events Industry.
As this was an international competition, we were proud to enter with an event that encompasses all of the music, food, technology and spirit that make Austin what it is:
The Austin City Limits Music Festival produced by C3 Presents.
Our entry for Best Achievement in Event Rental Support conveyed in words and photographs the planning, experience and execution necessary to assist with an event of this size. Some of the larger events we do require us on-site for upwards of a week with intricate load-ins and load-outs. ACL required countless hours of planning and 20+ days on-site from start to finish.
A brief look at our part of ACL:
Festival load-in: 12 days
What we delivered: 220 tents of various sizes and styles, flooring, lighting, staging, tent décor, furniture, linens, sales services and day-of technicians.
Festival load-out: 6 days to remove all the equipment.
The 26th Annual Gala Awards
A very special thanks goes the Mary Baird-Wilcock of The Simplifiers for accepting the award on our behalf and transporting it safely back to us in Austin! This win represents Marquee’s 3rd Gala Award.
